It's a really boring Saturday afternoon. Sam is using her laptop (and phone) next to me. And I'm sitting on my bed, well blogging. I was reading up on the Kennedy Family and the Kennedy Curse earlier on. Kinda interesting actually. Go google it hahaha! And there you have it - inquisitive ex history student. I was actually reading some rubbish article about Taylor Swift and her new Kennedy boyfriend. Then I link-link-linked and ended up wiki-ing on the various assassinations and plane crashes and freak accidents that had plagued members from different generations of the Kennedy family lolol. That's the beauty of wiki links actually. You get smarter at the end of 30 mins whenever you're bored. hehe. Then I was looking at potential husbands from the family tree. eh turns out most people from the 5th generation are around my age leh. (but then I think about the Kennedy Curse again.. hmmmm)
Anyway, so as mentioned in my previous post, I went to Lausanne with Sam last Saturday and we shopped at H&M and Zara. FELT SO HAPPY. SHOPPING PRODUCES ENDORPHINS seriously. I got 3 new tops, 2 shorts and a dress. One thing about living on a mountain is that boutiques or rather SHOPS are rather inaccessible. You either have to go down to Sierre or up to Crans-Montana (Sierre things chioer). and when you're on your way down on the funicular, it keeps pausing at random stops with signs labelled 'contre arrets' or something like that. wtf man. So it takes around 15 annoying minutes to get down. Well, Sierre has pretty cheap stuff too I must say. Like 5 CHF and 10 CHF. Yea la I know Bugis Street has even more affordable stuff. But beggars can't be choosers right. In Switzerland, the standard of living is so exceedingly high. So I'm happy with this. Anyway, yesterday I went shopping at Sierre with Amana and Narmada. I got a white blazer for 22 CHF. OMG RIGHT! I dont think we can find good blazers at 22 SGD even in Singapore. yea then I got a pair of (housefly) shades at 5 CHF and a woven belt for 3 CHF. Of course, there are places like esprit and h&m in Sierre as well. Seriously, h&m is EVERYWHERE in europe. Venice also have :O
anyway, I did laundry just now. Currently waiting for my blazers to dry. I handwashed them because dry cleaning costs 10 CHFs per article. and being the kiamsiap Singaporean that I am, I refused to. So I washed the things I was supposed to dryclean by myself, at the risk of spoiling my clothes. Obviously my thought process has a lapse in logic. because replacing my spoilt clothes would cost even more (I just realised) oopz. okie I better go colelct the rest of my laundry from the washing machine downstairs:)
