So the next day, it was Rachel's birthday. We spent the day shopping after waking up at 2pm hahah (having clubbed the previous night and getting drunk on champagne and tequilla and idk what other shots I had) In London, Primark basically became my second home. hahaha. went to the Tottenham Court one practically everyday to get stuff (and return stuff). yea I swear it's like the best place on earth. I can just return whatever I didn't like or didn't fit the next day haha! yep then we went to Marks and Spencer's to get Rachel's cake. oh so pretty and floral and pink (not quite a Rachel kinda cake) but that's not the point. it was so dainty hahaha! after that, we made our way to her super awesome apartment and had Fried Rice and Curry made by her and Teri and Helen I think. Chilled for a while, made her drink her 19 tequilla shots. VERY BAD IDEA. she ended up puking everything out:( so she decided to stay behind and all of us proceeded to our next destination while feeling really bad.
WE WENT TO A STRIP CLUB. my life is complete. i is fulfilled. hahaha! but you know, the strip club wasn't as I expected. like every girl just did the same thing. pole dance fully clothed. then pole danced topless. lolol. that's all. and they didn't have the hottest bodies too. all were skinny. granted. except for one. but their boobs were either too small, too saggy or too fake. perfect boobs, y u no show up. hahaha then sam, teri and i were like the only girls there. felt so bad for man and johan. I think the girls didn't dare to approach our table because of the 3 of us. So there we were, drinking champagne while watching the girls dance. then man and johan each bought a lap dance and things got more exciting (for them at least) hahaha! then the 3 of us girls got bored and cabbed back. Dropped teri off. then Sam and I returned to our sucky hotel. we showered and were about to sleep when Sam found the first BEDBUG on her pillow. so she cautioned me. but by then, I was too tired to care. So I just slept on my side of the bed wtf hahaha! Sam slept on her luggage (bad idea btw, she ended up with the worst bites) the next day, Sam insisted we left the hotel hahah! so the both of us moved to Wen's house while Man went to Rachel's. Johan stayed for the night to accompany his friend who was crashing our place.
So Sam and I packed and took a cab to St Paul's Cathedral. That's like near Wen's office. Had lunch at a Sushi outlet. had sashimi yay! then Sam and I went to tour St Paul's Cathedral since it was included in our London Pass. so many different statues inside lol (that's all I got from the visit. since it was rather brief and there weren't any guidebooks/pamphlets or any explanatory tools) We went to Knightsbridge after that to tour Harrods. BEST DEPARTMENTAL STORE EVER. IT'S SO AWESOME I CAN DIE. HAHAHAH! especially the food hall. simply beautiful. now I know what becky bloomwood's always raving about. and the kid's section and the clothes and the bags and everything omggg! Like an entire building of goodness. I will go there again. I promise. I WANNA INTERN AT LONDON SO I CAN GO TO HARRODS EVERYDAY(and not buy stuff. I'm not a spendthrift hor) just like to expose myself to the aesthetic wonders of such a revered establishment. dk what i'm talking about. ok then we went to shop at Topshop (lol shop at topshop) and went to M&M world at Chinatown to meet the guys. oh that was after we stopped by at the super good dimsum shop for some fried rice and mango pudding because they were out of dimsum-.- yea M&M world was a joy to be at. And everything smelt so chocolatey HEHE. then we went back to St Paul's Cathedral to meet Wen and took the tube and DLR back to her place at Canary Wharf. it's so awesome I tell you. like a business district, little modern town on its own. I really like it. hahah! although it's a little far from the city, but it's good enough. and resembles Robertson Quay (which old blog readers would recognise as my choice place of residence) yea then we had Chinese food near her place and had a good night's rest WITHOUT disgusting bedbugs.
Awesome Harrod's Food Hall
The building!
wait. let me just elaborate why I hated the hotel so much. First the lady was rude as hell. and the room didn't look/feel clean. Adding on, nobody cleaned our room throughout our stay. housekeeping SUCKED BALLZ. like she knocked, we didn't answer. then she just didn't come back for the rest of the day. then the toilet was fucking small. like the size of HALF my bed. I'm not even kidding. the water jet was not even powerful. it's like 1/100 of my house's jet. dont know how I actually showered there. AND the lights always went out in the tiny bathroom. imagine showering in the dark in such claustrophobic conditions. PLUS the shower curtains kept sticking to me. OMG JUST THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME SHUDDER. i will never stay in a budget hotel ever again. unless its hotel 81 or fragrance hotel because at least it is a brand and if it hails from Singapore, imma trust it for its quality. #singaporepride. hahaha!
anyway, the next day was sightseeing day. we went to Kensington Palace (pretty pretty). then Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. I went back to Harrods to get some gifts. then we had dinner at a Korean restaurant with Wen and her friends. and that's about it. The next day, Sam and I just lazed at Wen's place the whole morning. I went too tarpau fried rice back from the Chinese restaurant and we took a cab to the airport after that. Took us so long to secure a cab omg. we almost missed the flight. like we booked a cab but the cab driver's phone went flat-.- so the company had to contact me to tell us where to meet the driver. but because I was foreign to Canary Wharf, I didn't know which Tesco we should meet him. So this resulted in multiple phone calls through the cab company before my phone credit went out. We ended up booking ANOTHER cab via another apartment's concierge. but that was when the original cab driver spotted us. so we just took it to the airport. crazy. so anyway, we ran like mad to check in and through airport security and everything and finally made it back to Bluche at 11.30pm. Did all my laundry that night and slept by 3am.

T'was a really fulfilling trip I must say. Got all my shopping done. Plus saw many sides of London. Not just the typical touristy image that most people find themselves faced with. We saw the glamourous residences and normal apartments. Took the London cab countless times. something that my parents would absolutely not approve of. Went to the financial district of London and took the DLR. and went to a strip club. went to a school dorm. experienced bedbugs for the first time. k la not bad. hahahah!
