Hello June

So I had a really busy Saturday. Attended my cousin's Wedding reception in the afternoon, then proceeded to Singapore Dance Theatre's 25th Anniversary Gala at night with Marcus. Really enjoyed myself a lot yesterday. Because weekends off are really that hard to come by. And I didn't waste my off days at all.

So yesterday, I was woken at 9 plus by my Dad who stepped all over my bed to get to our wardrobe wtf. He wanted to retrieve his new t shirt which happened to be stored in our room. yea la. all the unopened junk are dumped in our wardrobe:( Bedsheets, tshirts, bags whatever. You name it, we have it hahah. Anyway so I woke up slowly. Finally decided on my outfit. wore a Green checkered tight fitting dress from Topshop. Got it for SGD49. Yay! Matched it with my faux pearl necklace which I got for Prom. And nude heels! We were out of the house by about 10.50. Then made our way towards Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa! Anyway, so the solemnisation ceremony was held at the Glass Pavilion. Rather small, but cozy I guess. There wasn't a lot of deco. I guess they were going for the minimalist look haha. But yea la, what's a wedding without rose petals. So mhmm, there were just a lot of pink, red and ivory petals scattered along the aisle. Belle and I got bored after a while. When the kids got bored of playing with us too heh. So we ended up camwhoring:D

Belle never fails to look forced whenever we camwhore. But I know she was secretly pleased with taking photos of herself. Who wouldn't be hehehe

See what I mean about her looking forced!:(

So I got a little upset and pouted:/ And she followed suit hehehe

Anyway yea I come from a HUGE family. I think typical of most Singapore families (especially from the baby boomer era?) Yea my granny had 10 kids. And every kid got married and had an average of 3 kids each. And then most (more than half) of my granny's grandkids are already married or have gfs/bfs. So adding the fourth generation, I think there are like 80/90 of us wtf. But of course, I have some family members who are scattered around the world la. Like I guess 20+ of them in total. Plus some people had other commitments yesterday. So we were just around 40/50 people strong ytd. Still quite a lot. And so many of my nieces and nephews were present. SO AHDORABLEEE! Joey, Joelle, Jerlyn, Chelsea, Charlton and Trinice (and her baby sister. don't know how to spell her name though. Trilyn?). There are actually way more. but haha these are the cuter ones that I'm more familiar with anyway. Anyway so we went through the ceremony blah blah blah. Did the mandatory tea ceremony. Got my name announced as deldel wtf hahahah! I kinda like it though. sounds more endearing anyway. Got my angpao woohoo! Yep then it was time for lunch. We adjourned to the restaurant next door and were treated to a buffet spread. Not the typical hotel spread that we are used to. But really, I loved every dish heheeh. Because there were mushrooms. and nothing was spicy. I think the menu was specially designed to cater to the kiddies. yea I have the tastebuds of a 6 year old. Yep continued playing iPhone games with all the kids then we went to slack in the hotel room for awhile before heading home. and that was it.

Hmmm, I guess it was a really simple, short and sweet wedding. Not really my kind of thing as a bride. But I guess what matters is what the bride thought and she felt it was perfect:) So that's good enough, and all that matters anyway. I've always been thinking what kind of wedding I want in future. You know how girls have all these dreams about who, when and where to marry. Yea for me, I still prefer the big-gish wedding ceremony in a hotel ballroom. With photo montages of my husband and I growing up ahahahaha. Because I want the whole world to see how cute I was as a kid hehe wtf. no la but really. For now, I still have very traditional ideas about my ideal wedding. I want the whole world to be there, to witness and share my happiness lolol. I should just marry some celebrity and broadcast our wedding on national tv if that's the case right. Then all his crazy female fans can spend the remainder of their lives plotting my assassination. hahah but who knows. When I finally meet The One, I might actually change my mind about my dream wedding. Romantic ceremony by the beach. Strolling barefooted amidst soft white sand. He's wearing nothing but a pair of white bermudas. err with ray ban aviators? And I'm in a simple flowy dress. obviously white as well. With flowers in my hair. And we walk hand in hand into the sunset wtf.

hahaha like that ah? eeyer. But I'll have to photoshop the shirt off my ideal groom hehe.

Mhmm anyway, after the wedding, we stopped by Capella to survey the surroundings. We might wanna plan a staycation there. Capella looked amazing on the net. But in real life, hmmm ok only la. Maybe because the sky turned into a rather threatening shade and we were damn scared it would start pouring. So yea lor, drove home shortly after. Then I met Marcus in the evening. But haha we met too early. So to kill time, we walked to Suntec (to check out what renovations did to the crowd at the mall, which I vivdly remember as the place I'd shun because its always so bloody crowded) anyway, it's really empty nowadays. Marcus made me drink Gong Cha for the first time. He bought me a Winter Melon milk tea drink thingy haha. k la not bad. It just tasted like Yeo's winter melon tea with milk la. Then idk how we walked but we ended up in Millenia Walk through the underpass. I didn't know the shops in there were really THAT cool. hahah yes this coming from someone who works in Ritz Carlton, which just so happens to be opposite Millenia Walk. The cafes there wow. Anyway we settled for wedges at TCC since neither of us were really hungry:/ Then we walked to Esplanade from there. Loved the classical ballet segments the most. Especially the pas de deux excerpt from Sleeping Beauty:) Just so glad I managed to catch a ballet after so long:) And we saw Ms Cheah, Ms Goh and Uncle Jeffrey go up on stage to take a bow, together with ex dancers of the SDT after the show ended:)

Shall just an end of with a camwhore shot of us. Sigh the lighting in there ah hahaha!
