So I went out with Jia Le yesterday! Wore my Sarong Party Girl costume ahahahah! eh I think it's pretty! Plus I got the dress for 10 bucks! Was kind of an impulsive buy since I went into the shop, browsed and emerged with the dress 5 mins later! I don't have a pic of the full dress though! because when I camwhore, I take like a headshot lol oopz:/ anyway, here's a pic!
heh! So yes! you can only see erm the strap of my dress! hahaha! but the print's there! it's pretty much like that for the entire dress hahah! and it's kinda like the first deep v halter dress that I got. So yea. I think my mum kinda got a shock when she first saw me in it. and for the first time in my life, a stranger says to my mum, 'wow your daughter's so big already!' Seriously, everytime I'm out with my mum, people will be like, oh Secondary what this year? or say stuff like 'huh? she's going to uni this year? but she's only 14 right?' dafuq man. so anyway, yes this dress will stay. it's gonna be my grown up dress hahaha! and there you have it, my sarong party girl look, complete with a flower on my head. hahahaha! perfect for beach volleyball and stuff lolol. omg this reminds me of an econs lecturer we had. don't know if I can name her (later she sues me for defamation:/) anyway, she sounded EXACTLY like barbarella omg! hahahah! was so distracted throughout her lectures. though they all tell me she's actually a really good tutor. i guess she is (because when I actually got pass her funny accent and paid attention for 15 mins once, I thought she could teach kinda clearly) oh and she's chio. hahahaha!
anyway, speaking of funny accents... i find it really hard to take people who can't speak properly seriously? idk.. I mean it's not like people have to speak in this american/british accent. but somehow the way people pronounce things never fail to amaze me. Like the problem with 'ee' and 'i'? beach volleyball vs bitch volleyball. kiss vs keys. some people might just let this pass without really realising it. but i think because I used to have this problem for a period of time (I don't know how the problem came about. but when I started noticing the difference, I became really sensitive to the 'ee's and 'i's. the more I paid attention to my pronunciation of such words, the more I would fumble lol! it's like how you suddenly get this multiple choice selection like:
beach: 'ee' or 'i'
dream: 'ee' or 'i'
miss: 'ee' or 'i'
this was as opposed to previously when there was only one pronunciation in my mind and I just stuck to that. so everything came out smoothly. hahaha do you even get what I mean? argh nvm maybe I'm just weird. hahah! like that time I was telling nurul about the difference between 'ee' and 'i' and how some people had trouble with it, she just looked at me with this puzzled expression... :/
hahaha so anyway, I better get back to searching for laptop models. my dad's gonna get me a new one to take to school heheh! yay! and my granny got discharged today:) we were supposed to go to kukup over the weekend. But it got cancelled because my granny got hospitalised and since this was an extended family trip, no one had the mood to go on with it (like duh right). so I guess the trip's postponed to the end of the year. truth be told, I wasn't really looking forward to kukup since I'm hardly close to this side of my family. so I'm really gonna be damn bored when we're there. plus I had outings and stuff planned for this weekend alr. So I'm glad we didn't go kukup. BUT I'm not calling my granny's hospitalisation a blessing in disguise because that would just be inhumane and unfilial. so yep! as I was saying, back to hunting for laptops. Shall end off with a picture or 2! heheh!
The day I went for lunch at Antoinette with Alissa! Was a really coldddd day! hahah!
colour coordinated! great minds think alike hahaha!
