Hello Les Roches

aloha! So here I am, sitting on my dorm bed. Finally in Les Roches:) It's been quite a long journey. We left on Aug 3rd! Really glad all my close friends could make it in time! Even happier that I managed to spend the entire afternoon before I left with him first:) and my mum didn't say anything though I should have been packing lolol oopz:/ Can't believe you actually recorded songs for me heh :') Anyway, so my Third Aunt and cousin came to the airport as well. Was so touched heh (although i didn't show it on my face la. but really, yay! love you guys!)

NJ friends! Arts friends, Alissa (Mak came later!), Daryl hahaha!

My family and my Third Aunt and Bernice

don't know what he was trying to do heh! But I though it was a cute picture!

Another favourite photo of mine lolol! Check out nurul's face. And she noted that what we were doing was similar to the mother and child in the background ahahah!

So we flew to Frankfurt after that. Transited and had breakfast there! Yum:) Stoned for around 5 hours before taking a Lufthansa flight to Geneva. Was surprised that they gave us food on board although it was a pretty short flight (like an hour plus). It was salad la. but still something right! And the Asian in me thought the cheese cubes were tofu. So when I bit into it, I was really like ,'whoa why's the tofu so hard!' took me quite a while before I realised what i was chewing heh! but t'was quite delicious! plus I was hungry again! When we arrived, it just took us 6 minutes to get to Geneva Cornavin station (which is kinda like the city centre). Walked to our hotel and checked in. Then we basically toured around Geneva and took lotsa piccies. Went to Manor, this big departmental store. And guess how much a box of sushi there cost! 20 plus swiss francs! wtf right! An it wasn't anything special. Just salmon sushi which we can probably get for 7 dollars max per box. hmmmm! ok maybe because sushi's considered exotic food here in Switzerland. Like how Italian food back home's more pricey? hmmm.. actually no leh. it's like the same. I guess it's just the high standard of living here heh!

We went to Chateau de Chillon (kinda pronounced like shin-yong) the next day. My parents were kinda eager to go there because that's where they visited during their honeymoon 21 years ago. so yea. basically, it's like an old medieval castle. used as a prison previously too. So the train office guy recommended we take a train to Montreux then walk along the lake towards Chillon. Although it was drizzling slightly, we came to realise that the guy was right! It was really scenic! Saw lots of beautiful holiday houses/chalets. The flowers were blooming so gloriously lolol! So colourful! And the mountains were opposite! All lush and green. We also walked past vineyards? heh! Like saw many rows of green grapes. I seriously didn't know grapes were grown like that! Yep then we went to the castle. After that, waited for the train to come for close to 2 hours. it didn't-.- wtf right! So we walked all the way back to montreux station. Had a sandwich at the subway bar downstairs. Then went back to Geneva where we dabao-ed Chinese food.

The next day was spent at Lausanne. Beautiful city with a metro! hahaha! pretty unusual in Switzerland because they normally travel by bus or tram. So yea! I think metros are more convenient anyway hmmm!

Then yesterday, we went back to Geneva Airport. Met the Les Roches people and took a bus to Bluche. My parents helped me settle in. I met my room mate, Samantha (whom I think is really pretty!), then went up to Crans-Montana with my parents. It's like a ski resort. Though it's not during summer la obviously. So we went up. watched the olympics in their hotel room. My mum bought tuna spread and bread because all the restaurants said they were only gonna open for dinner service at 6.30pm and we were alr starving at 3pm (having not had lunch) Anyway, we eventually had food at this Pizzeria at 6.30 before taking the Funicular back to Bluche. I went back to my room. Packed for 2 hours, showered, used my laptop and finally slept at 1am. hahaha! Hope I can adjust my sleep cycle soon! It's so screwed up how I can sleep anytime, but I'll just wake up at 4am everyday because its like 10am back home. hmmmm! Will work on that!

Anyway, I really really miss everyone back home! Tmr's national day btw! So Happy National Day in advance!
