First Day of School

I survived the first day of school today! phewwww:) it wasn't so bad actually. Had bar and beverage in the morning. Learnt about coffee. Like the history of coffee beans and what goes into our cappuccino and espresso and ristretto etc lolol! We're having a quiz on that this Friday alr omg! and we have a project to complete by Thursday!! It's an event planning project. We're in charge of organising a flower exhibition in the  main lobby. hahaha so yea there's a whole list of things we need to do. Powerpoint to be sent to Mr La Sala on Wednesday. and we present on Thursday. The last lesson of the day was interesting though. Food knowledge at the demo kitchen. where we learnt about the different cutting and cooking techniques. Julienne (basically 4cm strips) and bouquet garni which is like a bunch of cut up vegetables. then you tie it up together with cloves and a bay leaf. Went through techniques such as reducing (essentially decreasing the amount of liquid to improve the consistency of the taste) hahaha! can't believe I'm blogging about school work. I'm like revising as I blog. Imma ace this thing man (hopefully)

So I made some friends in school! yay! There's Paula (who's from the US. She's taiwanese actually). then there's Judy (Who's Taiwanese but lives in Hong Kong now. so she can speak cantonese) and my room mates: Sam, Sarah and Nina. hahah! You know, more than half the school smokes. So I feel like such an angel when people offer me a cigarette or ask if I wanna go smoke shisha. ahahaha! But of course, I've fallen victim to second hand smoke. So its still kinda bad. kinda ironic that my lungs are gonna die though the air's so fresh up here. ok fine other than the way up to PF3 (that's my dorm building) which stinks. seriously of all places, they have to place the whole container full of cow dung near the PF blocks. its already bad enough that we have to go up the hill everyday to get home. and you want us to smell that shit too:( mehh.. but then again, our dorm block's the newest. and we have no flies here ahahah! so ok i can't complain much! Anyway, so people have been kinda envious that I have a hot room mate. Ever since pictures of us went up on facebook, I've received 3 'intro leh' requests from 3 guy friends. Even when I told them she was 3 years older and had a bf, they were like, 'nvm I still like'. hahahah! what is this man. but yea! she's hot! come come let me upload a piccie of us together!

but well I feel really bad for leaving you behind. Everytime I see those messages from you/hear stuff like that, my heart breaks:/ Please stay strong and I'll be back before you know it:) I'll strive to get an internship in Singapore and it'll be 7 whole months together. I promise. Was so nice to hear your voice twice today though. I miss you so so much:/
