CNY Day 8 and V Day

So I finally find myself back posting after what seems like eons. have been really busy with work and cny preparation. since my shift's from 11-8.30, my whole day's like taken up on workdays and during my offs, I had to do cny shopping and stuff heh. so yea my apologies. Anyway, so today's the 8th day of CNY. gonna meet Marcus, Aditi and Andrew later at Taste Paradise for a reunion dinner lol? and we'll probably lo hei too:) you know this is like the first time I'm gonna lo hei outside with friends on my own accord. it has always been like a class/cca thing during cny celebrations in school. so yes. is this a sign of us growing up (with intentions of maintaining old ties plus traditions lol)?

So cny went past pretty quickly for me as I only got the eve and day 1 off. Worked from Monday to Friday. and since most of my chinese colleagues were away while we had an influx of chinese guests this week, it was pretty hectic for me because I had to keep helping with translations and stuff/ talking to chinese guests on the phone/ writing chinese messages lol. I really think my business chinese improved over the week. its so different from speaking to say, your relatives or the aunty at tiong bahru market because 1) the chinese guests are most prob from china and they don't understand the type of mandarin that we Singaporeans speak(since it's peppered with singlish, english words and weird grammatical structures) and 2) business chinese just has to sound formal right. i mean we're a hotel after all.

and seeing to how I don't always get weekends off, i decided that if I don't make an effort to make time for friends whenever I can, i'll really end up with no social life hahah. so anyway, arranged with Andrew to meet up on Wednesday. had dinner (andrew had supper) at cafe cartel. then we cabbed back with a very talkative cabby who kept on sharing about his experiences in ferrying air stewardesses and his opinions on them. hmmmm then Thursday (aka V day la. okok fine), Marcus and I had a quick dinner. at cafe cartel again wtf. oops. that was like the only place that was still open and had no queues. I actually made him wait till 9pm for me because I was really that busy that day. so paiseh:/ anyway, he got me a rose hahaha. but I think its just because it's valentine's day and if you go out with a girl on that day, you're pretty much expected to get her smth. easiest being, a rose. hahah.

and here it is!

btw, just in case people misunderstand, the marcus that i went out with wasn't ah hoh hahahah. yea then worked on Friday. Finally had time for the second part of my bai nian yesterday. wore my Miss Selfridge dress because i could finally wear my old underwear (since the new ones were alr worn) lol you see the dress was a tight fitting toga dress. and none of my new undergarments were tubes or seamless. so yea okok tmi. anyway, here's a piccie of it.

hahaha ok sorry you can only see the sleeve. but whatever la, after that, its just a typical bodyfitting dress la. same colour (pale pink) all the way. time really flies man. we're already nearing the end of Feb. before I know it, it'll be June and time for me to bid farewell to RC and come August, I'll be back in Les Roches again. am alr missing school and studying heh
