Snow and Halloween

Is it weird to dine alone and actually like it? I don't know. There are times when I just feel like being by myself, especially when I have my favourite food (which I do not want to share hahah). Then there are the times when I just don't feel like talking to anyone but just enjoy my food in silence. I mean, what's wrong with bringing along a nice book (in my case, that'd be my favourite chic lit series, Shopaholic lol. ok or my Qing imperial court drama kinda book) and just sit in a cafe/restaurant the whole afternoon. I mean it's not like I've never done this before. when I was still in Secondary School, I used to go to Delifrance every Friday before Learning Lab to have my Tuna Baguette meal alone. I would spend my afternoons just munching away and reading stuff that I've seen before lol. But still, I was happy. Somehow, I feel I'm better off without company sometimes because I actually get to do stuff that I really wanna do. It's the only time I don't have to make compromises and am allowed to act at my own pace. Being alone me allows me to take a break from holding up facades I'm forced to maintain at times for social reasons and well, does everyone not feel comfortable in their own skin eventually?

ok anyway, that being said, I have decided. As weird as it may sound/look, I shall go to the Italian restaurant tmr alone for the mushroom risotto that I have been craving all day. Was supposed to go with Sharon, Narmada and Julie this evening. However, they changed their minds eventually and decided against the idea. Was pretty disappointed because 1) I was really looking forward to having mushroom risotto, 2) I had a bad lunch. chose marketplace over tacot because the former was serving 'cream of mushroom soup'. turns out it wasn't really what I expected. the main course wasn't that fantastic too. so yea wasn't too fulfilling for me. and 3) I generally do not like last minute changes to plans because having mentally prepared myself for an occasion, I find it tough to get over cancellations especially when it comes to food (since I've already prepped my taste buds for what I thought I would be expecting) ok la fine I have a hard to please palate:( so anyway, the 4 of us are probably going to Sierre tmr for Thai food. But I'll most prob be making a trip to the Italian place to have my risotto first. then join them after we all are done with our respective meals. lolol please don't think I'm weird. I just need to satisfy this craving. very badly:/

oh yes btw, it snowed on Tuesday. Was pretty tired the whole day as a result. The view out of the window was nevertheless, breathtaking. See for yourself:)

Also, I shall just make a quick update about Halloween. Don't think I said anything about it right. hahaha! Anyway, I went as a cheerleader. Made my costume by sticking leftover ribbons on my top to make that double V shaped pattern you see on cheer uniforms. Wore my wine coloured skater skirt. Was amazed the colours went so well (as in the shade of red of my ribbons was similar to that of my skirt). so yay! look at my costume!

that's me with Teri (she went as a nerd). I had a matching ribbon in my hair too! a pity the blazer I had on totally ruined the look hahaa. but bopian. it was too coldddd! anyway so I kinda injured my ankle as I was getting into character last Friday. because as you know, cheerleaders are jumpy and perky and all right? So I tried to break into a dance number, did a perky cheer routine as we walked to Atlas and I landed awkwardly on the pavement wtf. hahaha so I ended up limping my way there and people thought I was drunk. drunk people limp around meh? hmmmm.. yea then after Atlas, we went to Tae June/David's room for some drinks. then we went back to sleep hahah! I'm such an angel. Haven't gone up in like ages (A)

k so Alex is snoring away as Sam fiddles with her phone. I shall go back to watching reruns of They Kiss Again. Oh how I miss those days in JH4 when all I did was watch these romantic idol dramas and daydream all day long!
